Frequently Asked Questions
Where should I plan to stay?
♥ There are several lodging options nearby. The closest to the venue is Meskwaki Bingo Casino Hotel, but there are also lodging options available in nearby Tama/Toldeo.
If you’d like the full summer camp experience, we have tons of space for camping (BYOT — bring your own tent) and several primitive bunkhouses with nearby restrooms and showers.
Space may also allow for a limited number of campers and RVs, but please advise that Pilgrim Heights does not offer electric or water hookups for these. Reach out to Linh or Eric with questions.
What should I wear?
♥ Pilgrim Heights is first and foremost a summer camp, and we want you to be comfortable! Our ceremony will take place outside (weather-permitting), so we recommend dressing for the weather and wearing comfy and potentially closed-toe shoes.
(Plus, you’re going to need them to bust some moves on the dance floor later.)
When is my RSVP due?
♥ Please RSVP as soon as you’re able. However, we’d like to be able to finalize our guest list by April 18, 2025.
What’s the bar situation?
♥ We plan to have a variety of beer, wine, soda, water, and other beverages iced down and ready for the party to begin!
If there’s a particular beverage you prefer, you’re welcome to BYOB to share as long as no hard liquor is brought onto the premises.
Pilgrim Heights has a strict no-liquor policy that could result in a large fine if violated by our guests. Please be mindful of this when packing!
Where is the gift registry?
♥ We’ve been fortunate to build a home together filled with everything we need, so we’ve opted not to put together a traditional registry in favor of saving for our future travels. You can read more about that here!
